R.M Cress is a New York based author who grew up in the midwest.

As a child, she wrote all kinds of stories, and spent every second she should have been doing homework with her nose in a book. She has a Bachelors in Linguistics. She enjoys writing YA titles that explore the often-fraught world of being a teenager, imbued with hope, friendship and love. As a biracial butch lesbian, R’s stories dive into finding oneself while dealing with a world that is often unkind, and finding kindness within it.

Outside of writing, R enjoys horror movies, a wide range of book genres, (contemporary YA, historical romance, speculative horror, fantasy), and spending time with her wife.
